Ive searched and i download some fix it didnt work, i used isobuster and rebuilt and it didnt work i couldnt find anything on it. Is there a latest patch? grrr :(
no there are only 2 ways i know of.
Either patching it http://blake.prohosting.com/wulfie66/merc.zip patching instructions
1. download and unzip the patch
2. Use your favorite program to copy the game (ISO) to your hard drive
3. Use either the move function or copy and paste the unzipped patch to the same folder your ISO is in.
4. Rename the ISO file ptc.merc this is very important!
5. Double click on the patch and run it, it will create a new ISO and should take about a 1/2 hour
6. check the file size on the new ISO, if it is in KB's then something went wrong. I think it should be like 2GB or something, i forget the exact number
7. if it is burn the new ISO file
My problem with mercs is when i open DVD Decrypter and set the mode to read while the disk is inserted, it says that the disk is not a dvd disk. I tried apache 2 and it says basicly the same thing. and when i tried iso buster it didn't let me do anything. I can't even make the iso let alone burn the damn thing, and i know the disk works fine cause i've been playing it for over a week now, wtf!? plz help.
i forgot to mention i also have a d/led version of the game and when i tried burning and playing that it freezed on the load screen like it does for everyone else.
You're not supposed to talk about downloaded games - this could get you banned. This forum is for people who legally own the game and who want to make a back up copy of a game which they legally own. Anyway, the game will not work if you are using Swap Mag unless it's been patched - check out www.swapmagicfix.com for a patch for this game.
sorry if that is against the forum rules but technicly you can own a back up of any form of media as long as you "legally" own the game, im pretty sure no matter how you obtain the back up. thanks for the advise, i'll try patching it. But i wonder why DVD Decrypter tells me it's not a dvd disk, it also says the same thing for Destroy All Humans.
