Hi
I know this has been asked already and after searching for 3 hours Im going to ask it anyway. How can I unlock my razr V3 for free? I have the silver one from Cingular. I looked at Mossy's sticky in the forum list but all thats there are dead links. If anyone can send me a link on what I need and how to do it I would greatly appreciate it.

Download this unlocker. Unzip it somewhere you will remember.

1) Turn Off your phone
2) plug your phone to the PC using your mini usb cable
3) put your phone on the flash mode *,#,and power button
4) open the software
5) click on connect RFone
6) click yes
when it say done it is unlocked
This info is in motodude sig just find a post by him and you will find many links that are usefull for motorola phones.

hey it didnt work. It kept saying Rfone not found :(
any reason as to why this might be.

That's because the software do not have driver for your v3. That software only works on V180, V220, C650,C345, maybe V80( old version realy old).
I don't know where people get the idea that ii can unlock v3, hec it's can not unlock a v180 if s/w veriopn is R365, so take my words for it don't waist your time. Unlock that v3 for free is not gonna happen unless you have a friend that got a smart clip to unlock it for you or some how you can get it out of your provider. Other then that email me for info how to unlock it cheapest way if you are in USA

Yea I got cingular to unlcok it for me. It seemed like the easiest way to go.

How did you get cingular to unlock it for you? They gave me a number to call and said they would "figure out what was wrong with my phone". I told them my phone was having problems and needed to be unlocked.

Smart clip is a device that will unlock most of motorola GSM.
The MSS 4.0 is the software that will unlock most of GSM motorola

Hey, I see that everyone is trying to unlock phones. Why dont you try calling cingular or T-Mobile and tell them that you planning to fly to Europe and need your phone unlocked. Just to make it more belivable tell them that you want enable internationall calling from your number. They just send me instructions and the code. It works.

Hey guys,
To enter your unlock code, just insert a foreign SIM card and turn on your phone. You should get an "enter subsidy password" message - just type the code in here.
If you don't have your unlock codes, the best way to go about unlocking your phone is to use software and a USB cable. If you're willing to pay $25, you can use some of the commercial software, I advise this site for RAZR Unlocking: http://www.cell-unlock.com/motorola-v3-razr-unlock.htm
You can also take your phone to an unlocking shop or find a free client online, though I would probably advise you to go with the method above.

You won't be able to get your unlock code by posting here. You need to visit an online Motorola unlocking service like http://www.cell-unlock.com
