hiya people by my rescent posts you will know im trying to play games online with my ps2, it has a messiah chip in it.
heres my setup for my LAN,
modem>>>>>PC1>>>>>PC2(My Computer)

When i connect to play online gaming with my ethernet cable running from my computer to my ps2, the diagnostic test fails and im unable to get a connection.
modem>>>>>PC1>>>>>PC2(My Computer)>>>>>PS2

But when i run a connection from my actual modem i do get a connection and the test is a success, but i dont want this connection because people use the PC1.
modem>>>>>PS2

so i want this connection
modem>>>>>PC1>>>>>PC2(My Computer)>>>>>PS2

help is greatly appreciated as allways.

this happened to me also but nontheless if it fails the check it didnt matter for me the ps2 online still worked a treat i think it might have been some sort of firewall on my system

both of the computers have firewalls on them (kerio) but when i connect using this connection:
modem>>>>>PS2
it works

so if i was to take a firewall of a computer surely it would be the PC2 because if i disabled them both i would get hacked on PC1

well i honestly cant tell you whether your computer is a target for worldwide hackers. what i must say is people have fears about geting hacked which are pretty rediculous. why wold a hacker waste thier time hacking a worthless home user to get nothing and be presented with a fairly slow transfer speed but never mind thats a different argument.

you can open the right ports on the firewalls if you google about for the prot numbers and look in the manual of your ps2 network adapter but i had windows firewall on and mines still worked fine.

success, i got the ps2 connected while pc1 has an internet connection aswell

i did it like this:
modem>>>>pc1>>>>PS2

the arrows (>>>>) represent ethernet cable

all i need know is someone to help me on a step by step tutorial on how to patch the DNAS on a PS2 game backed to to my hard drive

im afrad that cant work mate you cant pass the DNAS check with a hard drive game its just not possible right now it can however be done from a dvd backup.

thats what i mean ! it is a dvd backup but its a chipped dvd backup
and the hard drive im talking about is on my pc

well yo can only play your region online if you have a oal console you can only play PAL online same goes for NTSC unless ou change your machine id whihc ive never done before but i know it works
