Why won't Fujifilm media read in Playstation 2?

I don't get why Fujifilm dvd-r media won't read in a Playstation 2? I used to use the crappy media Memorex Dvd-r and it read fine in Playstation 2 w/o any problems. Does anyone know why ?

I've never gotten a Memorex game to play, but all my movies work
Fujifilm movies should work also. I've only got 2 games to work on Fujifilm. Possible solutions
1. Your PS2 is picky
2. They're not Fujifilm(they do make fakes check disc ID)
3. Not all Discs work 100% of the time

Advise:
Save the Fuji for movies. Get Verbat, Taiyo Yuden, or TDK for games

Hi there,

I have read that PS2 are real picky.

Check the media id of those Fujifilm using VSO Inspector v1.1

http://www.vso-software.fr/

Also burn slow, burn at 2x. Most PS2 people have success burning at 2x
