I have taken the advice that has been given here and I have purchsed some 8X Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD-R's from Newegg.
However I am wondering if I have any other problem areas with my setup.

I am running the following Software:
Windows XP
1 Click DVD
DVD43
PowerDVD 4
If this were a perfict world I would have a much better system....Will this setup work for burning good quality DVD's?
And if I need to spend a few dollars to make improvements where would I start?
you MIGHT want to considering getting a bigger hard drive, but that is only a suggestion :) as when u rip dvds to save on your hard drive, it takes up quite a few gigs...and with your other stored data..you might be running out of room fairly quickly~

Ya....I hear you....I am looking at an 80 gig Maxtor 7200 rpm....it's about all I can afford right now.
Do you think that I sould stick with 1 Click DVD though....I kinda like it because it is so simple, and I am not all that computer savvy.
But on the other hand I don't want to have crappy DVD's either.
One more question....1 click has no speed controls on it that I can find.
I know that it will only write at 8X if I only have 8X media, but what about reading....will I run into more problems if it is reading at 16X?
Dvd decrypter although it will still break most css encryptions is no longer updated in which case you may need to buy AnyDVD and you can get it with clonedvd2 at a discounted price. you can also save $10 on AnyDVD and clonedvd2 because you are a member of AD.
I recived the Verbatium DataLifePlus DVD-R's from Newegg today, They are not branded at all, they have a shiny silver surface and that is all.
If you go look at the like that I posted above you can see in the picture that they show that they are branded.
Is this going to be a problem or will these DVD's be fine?
Please let me know....if they are not the quality of the branded ones then I will have to fight it out with Newegg.
