Hey

I have a Matrix infinity V1.41 with a laser protection kit and it has only just burnt out my laser. Its only 7 months old and I installed the chip as soon as I bought it. Worked main up until now though. I have a question though. Is it the chip thats burns them out or the bad design by Sony? It also happens without a chip doesn't it only faster with one.

Matrix Infinity, DMS4 Pro or DMS4 Lite are the best
I have had my system for about 8 months now with no problems
DMS4 Pro with Summone laser fix
bought a premodded system for $285 shipped

or should i just get a dms pro with laser fix, does a laser fix prevent the laser from burning out, or is there a chance it still would

Yes get the DMS4 Pro or DMS4 Lite
The Matrix Infinity i have also heard good things about.
And i think you should always get the laser fix with a chip.
The Summone laser fix came free in my premodded system from the above link
another good one is Comsoft Slimline V4 Laser fix, they sell it for $8 so i think the extra few bucks are worth it.
It will not prevent it from going bad over time like all lasers will, but it will keep it from burning out to to overheating or surges.
