Is anyone having trouble with this backup? I tried allsorts of things last night but kept getting negative results. I use DVD43. I tried through DVDShrink and got the cyclic redundacy check error. I then tried the DVDFab and got nowhere too.( I did turn off DVD43).
I also tried DVDdecrypter. I then sent the file to DVDShrink and it seemed to take forever to analyze the file when I reauthered it. I was encoding the file when I left this morning so I do not know what the outcome will be till later.

Hey c53103,
Have you tried using shrink along with AnyDVD (the latest version)? I have tried DVD43 but the result was not as good so i recommend that you use AnyDVD and tell me ur result.

There are users who are having trouble with this movie. I used DVDD and it ripped fine, just inserted one dummy sector, and then I used CloneDVD2 to burn it, movie only. Your problem sounds like it may be a bad disk, or possibly another problem, because I did an analysis in Shrink and it went fast. Check and make sure your DMA settings are correct.

ok fellas i got it to work by ripping it with DVD Decrypter and then burned it with DVD Shrink. I did the same exact thing i did the first couple of times, only this time i shut down the PC first. Worked fine

It's my understanding that Shrink does not burn. If you use Shrink & DVDDecrypter together, DVDD does the burning. Is this correct?

If you have the newest version of AnyDVD, it will work. I used that combined with DVD Shrink. Then burned it, and it works perfectly.

I use DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter and had no luck. I also flippen the process and used DVD-D but it fails on the VOB 3. I have used Dvd fab, DVD43, and a couple others i have found on Doom9.net, no luck. It fails aroud the main movie area which is arccos. I have AnyDVD and i have tried it with it on and off and no luck. Anything else i could try?

if i may just put this in mind i tried also many ways and no luck but i mite no the problem as every time i put in a disc to make the back up my burning program come out with this error sector 10 blah blah blah blah now i beleave the new dvd's are scrambling the dvd drives when burning and DDnor any other softwares are beating that protection off if anyone els is having the same problem pls post also i been making back ups for about a yr so i am not a newbie :)

I ripped and burned W/ out flaw using dvdd dvds(i know really helpful huh) but this was a problem w/ previous columbia releases(grudge) try cutting out the picture of lady liberty in dvd shrink reauthor mode as this worked for several ppl in previous threads
also there has been many instances of dvd43 having compliance issues w/ shrink try nero recode if any of this helps let us know? as it;s always good to know some outcome good or bad

I just tried DVD Decrypter without AnyDVD or DVD43 and it errored out on Vob3 again everything else is working.
Right now i am trying DVDfab, i saw on another forum someone got it to work with XXX so im trying it. I might have a bad disc dont know.

Hey guys i just started to decrypt XXX state of the union but its ripping really slow like at 1.4x , is this normal or does this mean its not gonna decrypt.
has any one backed this movie up yet?

I'm going crazy with XXX State of the Union. Someone please give me steps in lament terms. I have DVDDecrypter & DVD Shrink and burn with CopyDVD. I was able to run XXX through Decrypt, but when it analyzes in Shrink..it goes to the very last 2 seconds and then says abnormal error must abort (something like that), then it just closes and sends me back to my desktop screen. Please help!

I have tried this and was able to backup using AnyDVD 5.2.7.2 and DVD Shrink 3.2 but the audio was mismached about a 1 second delay. Has anyone else had this type of problem.

read my earlier post just dvdd dvds this post is kinda out of hand but if decrypter is going slow it could mean a lot of thing's you are first shutting down all other app's right? neccesary because the whole process (ripping,encoding,burning) is pretty intense I have 512mb ram and 3.2 processor and it drains my system so any interuptions(antivirus,ato-update's) could pose a threat and not leave enough power for the back-up I alway's go off-line and shutdown everything.
is your drive set to dma and is it external or internal as this could limit the speed

or any body getting errors please report the exact error if possible sorry to call you out pocahonta yours might not have given you a precise error but all to often pple will get on here and say this movie is giving me a headache then if we want to help we have to coax any information we can get out of them.
this post has gotten way out of hand when ten ppl get on here and say I have a prob more than likely there is ten diff prob's and everybody get's confused then we all have a prob
the whole I got it to work I couldn't get it to game might be fun but not very helpful please if you have prob's with this title read this thread if it does not address your particular prob wait til oneprob's been solved or look for the the right place to post we have several application sensitive forum's shrink,nero,dvdrat just to mention a few do a search to see if your prob's already been solved in another forum please folks you will always learn more from listening than talking read this and try to allow us to help one or two prob's at a time. or else this is just another waste of thread space.

I just got mine to copy it. I used DVDFab Gold it has that Sony Arc removal and right now im using DVD Shrink to remove everything and dvd-dec to burn. Work perfect for me. Did not use AnyDVD or DVD43

First rented copy Had no luck at all.Bought a copy Had no problem at all. Did not think to try rented copy in dvd player to see if it worked .Any chance there are two types of Disc released, one to rent and one you Buy? Dragonfly
P.S. Any idea how to change the t to a l in Dragonfly.

You can use Shrink with the lastest AnyDVD running...
or you can rip with DVDD and compress with shrink and burn with DVDD.
