Is it just me or is it alot more complicated to backup dvds in linux then windows?
I have the chappelle show season 2 and I've been trying to back it up in Linux but apparently its encrypted. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a program that will do this for me in Linux? I'm really trying to limit the things I use Windows for to just games.
I've read about DeCSS and all the instructions on how to use it seem very unclear and complicated.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The biggest problem is that most decrypting software are designed for PC and some for MAC. I did some reading on this a while back and there didn't seem to be a easy way of doing it in Linux at that time. I haven't checked lately. Just Google for LINUX DVD DECRYPTING and you should get some information.

comp.os.linux.xxx newsgroups on nntp news servers(usenet)

Probably you can get the most detailed info on the comp.os.linux.xxx
newsgroups but do some googling first. If they get a whiff you didn't make any effort to get the info yourself you may get flamed or just ignored. :)
