hi everyone, i checked other threads to make sure my answer wasnt there and from what ive cheked it isnt (or maybe i didnt look good enough) i recently got a flip top for my ps2 but when i insert the swap cd it sounds like the lens is scraping against the cd. also when i backup certain games they do not play. will this be an issue will all of the games i back up or would a mod chip simply play most or all without a problem. anyone got any suggestions on whether i should stick with the flip or get a mod? thanks
some games swap magic do not play, like i think dvd 9, and also some games must be rebuilt for swap magic. but yes a mod chip will play all or most of the games you throw at it, assuming its a good mod, and try and get one that has flash upgradeable bios or firmware or whatever
Hey bro
honestly, i recomend getting a modchip, it plays everything!
Dvd-R,DVD+R,DVD9,DVD+RW,Cd+r, dude...no swaping,no patches,no stuffing around, modchips are 100% legal in Australia and Newzealand, cost about $140 for chip and installation, dont know how much to send and back.
if your gonna be cheap, you get cheap results , goodluck matey

I think it would be better if you stick with Swap Magic, but replace you fliptop with a slide card. Because thats what I have, and it plays ALL of my games, even the CD-R's, and its real easy to use, when you get the hang of it. But thats just my opinion.
Hope it helps!
