it's just a quick question. I am applying some filters in AviSynth and then encoding using CCE. Now my question is am I going to get better quality by resizing to 720x480 in avs then applying my filters or to apply my filters then resize in CCE. Thanks for the help guys.

I haven't used any one of those programs but it's probably safe to say you will get better quality if you resize using your filter program and just let CCE do encoding alone. I've found that if you let your encoder resize the image, you will get undesired compression results such as a blurrier image.
