sorry, i can't answer all those ?'s but a few.

1. laser in v12 burns easily. w/ mod you should get a laser fix. i heard summone fix is good.

2. can't say for sure.

3. overheating is not good for pretty much anything. engine, circuit board, ps2, human body. overheating isn't good.

4. can't say for sure, but since the fan in the v12 has to be really small, i doubt it does much.

they have been known to give out on people in a much shorter time than the older models, that is why a lsaer fix is a good idea

Overheating may cause the laser to die. True or false.
of course

Overheating will cause the whole system to die. True or false.
once again, of course, like above overheating is bad for any electronics, and bad for hotdogs too :)

The internal fan in the V12 doesnt help. True or false.
it is not nearly as good as the older models. But you can solve this by pointing a small house fan at the unit so that it gets really good airflow.

I have had my slim PSTwo with DMS4 Pro chip and Summone laser fix for about 8 months now and the biggest problem i had was when i went on vacation and took it to a friends house who did not have AC it played the first game, but when i went to load another one it just refused due to it being hotter than it should. We took a small fan ans set it up to blow right at it and the problem went away and we played for 3 hours.
