I hooked up my chip and when i turn it on i get the blue light.Do I have to flash it before it works.When i turn off the switch it works fine.My xbox still works.PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you getting any screen at all when you boot up your Xbox, or is it just black?
The blue light on the modchip means that you are getting power from pin 9, which doesn't mean much.
Your problem most likely relies on the d0 wire, so make sure that is securely connected to the correct point.

do i use just the d or e wire.i have version 1.1.the link says e.i already cut everything but d.

Ok, that's good your Xbox still boots up to the original dash.
I am almost 100% sure your problem relies in your E wire. That is the wire that allows you to get into the flashbios screen for the spider chip. So go back and make sure that is installed correctly.

I sordered the e wire and now it works.Thanks
2 questions
now do i flash the xbox and when i copy games what kind of cd do i use?

I know this is a stupid question but how do you make the disc to flash using Nero.In Nero i can't find where you make the iso file.

Ok, I'm alittle confused now...
Where does it say Nero Express in that guide?
Post a picture of the part your stuck at because I'm confused.
Oh wait, do you mean that you don't know how to get to this screen?
On your desktop, go to "Start" "All Programs" "Nero" "Nero 6 Ultra Edition" & click "Nero Burning Rom" You should then get a screen like shown above.

When the screen comes on it states spiderchip 1.0b.Do I need to do something different.
I would think it wouldn't matter and thanks for all your help

Pop it in your Xbox drive and flash your chip.
It shouldn't matter, just go ahead and flash it w/ your bios...
