Earlier this week i loved my xbox, it had great games and graphics. I had just purchased conker LandR. It was all going great until when in the middle of my game i accidently bumped my xbox. Not very hard, just enough to knock over a cup. Next thing i know the xbox said that there was a problem with my disc. I tried many methods of cleaning the disc but the xbox had put 3 deep scratches on it. The next day i took it back to the store i bought it from and they told me to go away and they would not refund me. Needless to say i am very angry. If a console will scratch its own games if bumped slightly there are major problems which need to be addressed. After this issue i have vowed to never buy another xbox game or product (including the 360)!

Damn, that's pretty harsh tomfitz!
I have picked up my Xbox, bumped it, hit it etc. etc. while it was on w/ a game in the drive and it has never screwed up the disc like that!

i admit i was a little harsh there. I just needed to vent some steam. I will just have to buy another copy of the game. It is better than the alternative which is buying a playstation.
PS. Forget what i said yesterday buy a 360 it will rock. The ps3 as stated by the president of sony will be expensive and not targeted for the average consumer.

Yup, the PS3 is going to cost way to much, and your going to have to buy so much extra stuff for it for the complete experience. You don't even get a HD w/ the PS3, and your going to most likely have to pay around $400 for it if I remember correctly??

PS3 is gonna use technology that isn't even out on the market yet so yes it will be one expensive box. I'll be damned it they sell it for under $400 when it comes out.

tomfitz here's a idea, instead of buying a new copy buy a solderless modchip, install it and get ahold of a backup for the game you bought but no longer works, this is perfectly legal! as it is not illegal to backup games you have legally bought. and from then on everytime you go out and buy a new game you can back it up yourself and just play the copy's instead of risking messing up those expensive originals!

Wal mart will return anything. They won't give you the money back for an opened DVD but they will exchange it for a new one almost 100%. Give it a try.
say it was a gift and it came that way.

hahaha, jealousjo is exactly right. Walmart is seriously either retarted, or they just don't care because they make so much money already.
Perfect example:
I bought a GameCube from a friend at work for $60 a long time ago. It was the one when they had the Zelda pack w/ the GameCube's. Just about 5 months ago, I wanted to get rid of my black one and get a Platinum one. So I took the GC in w/ the box and manuals and everything, and told them I got it for Christmas from my Grandma, and that I wanted to get a different color. They let me exchange it for a brand new platinum GC, and didn't even open the box. I didn't even give them a controller or the Zelda games back, they just didn't care!
So Walmart is sweet! Besides the fact that they have a massive monopoly over every other store in the U.S!

I live in Australia, there is no such thing as wall mart here.
I normally buy my games from a place called eb games however it was cheaper at the software supermarket i went to. In future i will buy everything from eb games, i would not have this problem with them.
