I am having problems with backing up Dukes of Hazard discs that have just come out.

I tried Shrink, and DVDDecrypter to no avail.

I have the most recent updates of both.

Any suggestions, or has anyone else had this problem as well.

Regards,

-Try DVDFab Decrypter v.2.9.3.0 It's Free and works well with Shrink.
I was over at my Brothers house and he just purchased a pc (Dell)with
a DVDRW+/- Drive and he wanted to burn some DVD Movies he had.

-Well I didn't Bring any software with me so I ended up Downloading DVDFab Decrypter and DVD Shrink and a demo of Nero and the DVD back ups we made were outstanding quality..

What's the error your receiving? I think these are being distributed by Warner Bros. and decrypter should be able to handle them. You may have a bad press. You can also try cleaning off the dvd - probably won't help if it's a bad press.

Thanks for the response.

The dvd is a 2-sided disc and I get the same problem with both sides.

At approximately 71% of the decrypting process I get a restart on a particular vts file read. It retries until it asks if I want to retry, ignore, or abort and neither retry or abort helps. I can't recall the exact message.

I've tried decrypting with both DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter.
It freezes up at approximately the same point on both sides with both programs. I think there may be something in the macro that's not been discovered just yet. The discs haven't been for sale long.

I haven't heard of anything new protection and usually you will find out pretty fast on this forum. I did a search of 3 other forums couldn't find any problems. The type of error your describe is a read/rip error. There is a problem with that spot. I'm still apt to believe it a bad press. I would exchange it for a new one.

I concur.
1.)This is probably a bad pressing...2.)is it a Sony picture release?
If so you have to rip with the latest version of DVDD and then use shrink 2 compress.

Hope that helps
