If you search in GOOGLE and type in "cant burn resident evil apocalypse" youll get a thousand hits. No one can seem to burn this movie because something is just plain wrong with it. No scratches, dead copy, or whatever, its how the DVD was made. Works great on dvd players but for backing it up, nothing works! It will burn the movie but when it gets to certain parts, the players say "cannot read from disc". When inserting the original movie, it plays 100% fine. The company made this DVD to where nothing could copy it. I heard stories of people being able to copy it but I use AnyDVD, ShrinkDVD, and CloneDVD, which all work for all my other DVD's but this is the very first DVD ive had problems with.

Not true - I and many other have copied this movie without any problems. You need to rip it with the latest version of DVD Decrypter.

click on mode, and file, then edit, and compress in dvd shrink.
I did the movie almost a year ago. using a PSL patch, but with the latest version of dvd decrypter you should have no problem.

The above advice is 100% correct, but I would also advise you to do a search on the keywords: "Sony ArCCos" as you are likely to come up against more and more of these discs, as each week goes by.

You could have also searched using the name of that movie, and found a lot of threads discussing the solution.

The latest (and final) version of DVDDecrypter, with the default settings, will rip this just fine. Use "Mode: File" Then, burn using whatever you normally use.

Ok well I was able to burn it finally but every few scenes, the DVD pauses and a few messed up squares go all over the screen and then it keeps playing. Is this normal? Is something wrong with my burner?

Ok. I noticed on DVD's that fail when I back them up, you can see where they fail on the imprint of the burn when put under a light. A successful burn is a pure tint all the way through the burn. What does it mean when its not pure all the way through. Like some areas are lighter than others on the DVD?

My burner is a memorex. Also, the DVD info page is stating the download is for registered users only with a serial.

it's ok if the burner is a Memorex as some other company would have made it and put Memorex's name on it. Same difference with the media but they use mostly crappy media manufacturers.

you need to download the free one with adverts

just checked and there's a message on there saying there's a problem with the latest free version of dvdinfopro. look in software section at top of page for 'dvd identifier' - it's the same sort of thing. if it's not in software section do a google search for it
