Hey guys, I purchased a DVD from a Chinese DVD store. The problem though is that the audio and video is out of sync. Thats really annoying, and instead of changing it (which I doubt they would do anyway), I've decided to attempt to fix this problem myself. My question is..would I be able to rip all the .vob files to my computer, demux them and then remux it again when sync? Basically I want to put it on my computer, match the audio and video up together and then reburn. Is this possible and if so, what software other then the ripping software would I need? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Oh, if I've posted in the wrong section maybe Neph or another mod could move it for me.

Well what you Could do is Rip the DVD to your Hard Drive as a Single Big VOB file with one audio Track and then De-Mux the Big VOB file into seperate audio and Video files and then use the "Multiplexor" in "Womble Mpeg2VCR" to Fix the Sync Problem as it has a Feature were it can delay the audio or Video when Multiplexing so you can fix Sync Problems Like these...

After you have the File back in Perfect Sync you just use a DVD authoring Program Like "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" to add your Menu"s and Chapters and to Burn the DVD....

I have Done Simular things with SVCD and DVD Files and it worked great but was a Little Tedius to try to get Perfect.....

i think a lot of audio programs, maybe goldwave, allow you to stretch or shrink an audio file to a certain length
if you were to make it the same length as the video file it'd probably go into sync, or if it's just out of sync by the same amount of time throughout the entire movie add some blank sound or cut some at the beginning
the rest is fairly easy
