just bought a dvd burner,downloaded some movies off the net,using nero ultra 6,it transcodes up to about 90%,then errors out,I can post the error file if you ned to take a look at it,dont think its a burner issue because incode never finishes,,other movie is in .RM format and nero wont even see it,,help here ,,Im a newbie at this,,still reading and tring to learn

Just a guess here but if you get to 90% and it then errors it could be the download is corrupt at the end. The other download is a Real Media format. Do a Google for Real Media converters. Good luck.

ok ran the movie through dvdshrink,then opened Nero,droped the VOB files into the TS video file in Nero,burned it,,and the dvd will not play,expolered disc on puter,and all thats in there is the video ts file and the audio ts file,,will not even play on puter.

If you can't open the Video ts folder and see all the VOB files then you didn't get them in the right spot when you dropped them into Nero. The easier way to burn with Nero is to go into Shrink's settings and check the box that says BURN WITH NERO. When you do that, Shrink will automatically call up Nero when its time to burn and the files will be it the right place. Its all done for you.
