backup shows sucessful but cant play disc

i used the dvd shrink
it sucessfully backs up the dvd
and burns it on the dvd+r
but i cannot play the disc
i have a memorex 2.4/4x writer +/-
i am using maxell 8x dvd+r
i have been using shrink for sevral months with no problem
i use it for xxx state of the union after i used decrypter
it worked fine
i have been trying to copy the upside of anger
i used decrypter then tried to shrink the file
i got the same results
i tried several other burning softwares
they all showed a sucessful burn but i still can not read the disc
i think i need an update on a driver
what do you think

It could b ur driver but also it mayb bad media... try to use DVD Identifier to find out the manafacturer of the DVD???

Well I don't believe it is your disks (Maxell 8x disk are good disk) you haven't had a problem with them before so how could they be the problem now? I doubt it is a driver issue either.

From reading that I would ask do you maybe have DVD43 or AnyDVD running? If so turn them off and give it another go. There is definatley something going on with this new movie. I don't have it yet so I can't give you exact advice on what to do, but it looks like some people solved the problem in that thread by turning off DVD43 and AnyDVD..
