I am having trouble burning a dvd. After shrinking I am having trouble burning the dvd with the decrypter, it says that device not ready (medium not present)I also purchased the nero 6.6 program as guided by the dvd shrink and that did not help. Please guide me through this process.

You've got the bbmayo guides link,Nero,DVD Shrink,and DVD Decrypter. Now all you need is one of those quality 16x dual format burners and some quality media and you are on your way!
Hi saugmon. I saw from the last thread you've got sonic s/w. how do you reset the parental control password for the cineplayer? i think i messed up mine. i have tried re-installing it on another drive, but still in vain....... help please..........
lenarkim, I've only used the sonic for 1 copy disc dvd and it was 5 minutes slower than my Nero 6.0.0.21b oem. Other than that,I don't touch it.My sonic came already installed with my newest pc. Sorry, Good Luck

I had the same problem. Here's what I did. I un-installed DVD Shrink using the add/remove programs in the control panel. Un-install Nero as well!
Install Nero first and activate it if needed. Just open it and it may or may mot ask for a code. If not just close it and then install DVD Shrink.
Run DVD Shrink, click open disk and pick your dvd rom or burner. Whatever drive the DVD is in. (I have both) It will do a quick analaysis and tell you what the compression is. At this point you can click backup if you want! and it will pop up a few windows asking where you want the files on your hard drive. When that is done it should start encoding the DVD to your hard drive. When it is finished it will eject the DVD if you only have a DVD burner, and ask for blank media. Insert the blank media and close the drive and it should start burning all by itself. If you have a DVD Rom as well copy all your DVDs from it and put a blank in your burner. It will find the media and start the burn all by itself.
My personal prefrence is to click re-author and burn only the main movie. I usually am not interested in all the extras. Doing this gives you better picture quality as it only has to shrink the movie. Believe me it's easier than it sounds!
