ps2 rar backup problem

I have just downloaded turtles for ps2 in a rar file. The files within are split but are not in rar format i extracted them all to another folder. I then changed the first folder into rar format in order to get the iso within, however the iso is not an iso file it is a GI file which means it is not recognised by the computer as an image file, how do i change this file into an image file, all help would be appreciated thanks.
