hi,

i have downloaded devil may cry 3 and metal gear 3 but i have really long loading times with dmc3 and with mgs3 i get really choppy scenes when you are calling someone.

i have PLATINUM -R discs i have tried burning at 2x and 4x with nero and decrypter but it makes no difirence, i have allso just bought some fuji -R dvds just to check but that allso didn't help.

and i have allso cleand the lens/ raised the lens height a little bit and lowerd the dvd bias by about 80 Ohms.

can someone give me some tips on what i can do to eliminate this problem.

i forgot to say that when it gets choppy in mgs3 you hear the dvd spinning and reading really loud, it's like it has trouble finding or reading some thing.

i have downloaded final fantasy x allso but i haven't had any problems with that game.

have you tried rebuilding the ISO, that
works for some games. then use Nero to burn
Also buy better media, unless those have worked
for all your other games.
TDK, Philips, Verbatim, Ritek G04

Here is how to rebuild. See the tutorial page.

With ISO Buster (free program) and Nero Burning Rom
it is quite easy to do.

i think you might have gone alittle too far by adjusting your bias.cleaning your lens and adjusting the height closer to the disc(counterclockwise) should have been enough.and 1x works good for games with large sizes(mostly depends on media compatiblty with burner).i replaced a dummy file on mg3.it took the game down to 4.25gb(not much but better than nothong).ive beat the game and the backup worked fine.i cant recall what i did for dmc3 but it works.ill ;ook at it later and see what i did.

thanks,

i tried burning at 1x but game wouldn't boot then.
i am going to try some +R media in stead and hope that it will do the trick.

btw. i took a look at the rebuilding tut, but when i used isobuster to look at the iso of msg3 that i downloaded i saw that the iso containd a iso and udf part.
is this normal or maybe that the guys who made iso allready rebuild it?

you have the option to extract the game files in iso format or udf format with isobuster.there isnt 2 sets of files.

i know my burner burns better to DVD+R.it still can burn to DVD-R but the quality isnt as good as DVD+R.so trying out DVD+R sounds like a good idea.
