Yes they're legit - I just ordered 100 yesterday. I use them regularly plus the inkjet printable TY's. I almost always order from supermediastore.
They do have the +r 8x - they're just a few cents more per disc.

i wish you only the best and smoothest recovery, life is so precious, but i always try to think of all the great memories of a lost one...and the joy they brought to my own life. time DOES heal all wounds, but fond memories are NEVER forgotten~ keep your head up girl.

Thanks and sorry for your lost. Just ordered these a couple of days ago. My very first spindle of Taiyo's ( I feel like a virgin again). So I can't wait to break them in.

nicely put binkie...TYG01s just refer to the rated manufacturer speed, in this case 4x...the TYG02s refer to 8x rated speed for DVD-R by Taiyo Yuden, in terms of difference in quality, i have seen NONE. both equally good in a side by side comparison. :)

Hi there,
Well for the 1st time, I'm proud to say my 100 x DVD-R 4X Taiyo Yuden are in the mail, and should arrive on Tuesday.
I am in Canada so I ordered from http://www.blankmedia.ca
I won't burn higher than 4x anyway so why pay more for the 8x.
And if I am lucky also, the TYG01 I ordered will end up beeing TYG02, let's see next week !

My reason for thinking they are the best is because I own 5 burners and 1 DVD recorder and they all burn them perfectly. Not one coaster ever, they are consistent whether it be TYGO1 or GO2. My 2 cents.

i've only used about 90 (genuine) TYG02 but am more than happy with their quality. I have probably 500 FAKE tyg02 (Bulkpaq Orange) that need landfilling

Just to add to the above reasons - Taiyo Yuden has excellent quality control standards, uses azo dye and is probably the #1 recommended media
by manufacturers.

Holy crap these discs are the bomb they write at -8x which no other media I threw at did. Hell i remember after hour of investigating and comparing my burner with other people NEC 2500a we all came to the conclusion that the burner could only burn -4x.Thanks for the help guys!
