Please help with PS2 swap-magic !!!

Hello , i hope u know wats swap-magic , am sure lots of people use it around ~
Well , my ps2 is an old one , so not slim ~ When i load the backup copy , the game seems working very fine , but the screen keeps jumping , yes the video ~ the color is black and white and i can barely read it. But the sounds works perfectly ... i can hear the great music and sound. But with the first time using swap magic , playing devil may cry 3 , the intro was jumpy but then , it worked normally ... but when i retried it , now it keeps jumping all the way ~ anyone knows wats the problem? please helppp thanks.
Am using a old swap magic i think , 2.0 usa ver/dvd + 3.0 usa ver/cd
All i see at boot screen is , Insert disk , not anything else~ so i cant change video mode. And yes i did the steps correctly , playing a original game works fine but not backups. Please help!!!!

Your probably just using a really crappy media...don't use CD-r's they simply do not do the job...don't go cheap on DVD-R they work a lot better and its worth your money

euh well am using high quality memorex DVD+R ...
they cost me about 4$ per dvd (canadian dollar)so i guess it must be the IMAGE problem ... thanks

burn at a slower speed like 2X and the old swap magic has a problem with some games u should go buy the new one.

ayashifx, Memorex is crappy media, not quality
The only time i ever saw a game do that is when
i tried to play PAL games on my NTSC system.
Other than that, have you had any games work?
Is it just this game that is a problem?
wolf23 , yes. Swap Magic alone will not work.
I suggest a flip top, they make them for the slim
and the older models. And yes i know the slim has a
flip top but you need to replace that one. It causes the
PSTwo to reset when opened so you can't swap discs.

ohh thx for trying to help me guyz. I got it work now !!!
The problem : i wasplaying PAL games on a NTSC tv ...
I downloaded a PAL to NTSC fix and now it works perfectly. Even with swap magic 2.0 , Well i guess am gonna try some other brand dvd ... is Sony good ones? By using memorex i dint fail once (not counting the not converted ones) butthe problem is the lowest speed is 4x ... Any suggestions ? thanks.

When you played your PAL games on NTSC, was the edge of the game screen sliced off?
Its good that you found a fix, but my SwapMagic could choose NTSC or PAL video mode.

yea they were slicing off , coulnt even read wats written , the reason why i could play devil may cry 3 was , at begining , surely by luck , i chosed 60 NTSC option , so it worked for the first time ... Yup , am happy also lolz that my swap magic 2.0 is able to play new games. Well i bought it like for 10 bucks so haha XD i cant really complain much.

I also have a question if you guys dunt mind ... Why Flip top is recommended? I have no flip top using old ps2 and old swap magic 2.0 things works perfectly , just that the old ps2 is slower then the new one ... So wat is the advantage? thanks.

what do you mean?
you can not load a back up game with just
Swap magic. Are you using a slide card?
The advantage it that a flip top is easier to use
than a slide card.
and since he is using 2.o he will have to use fixes
because that swap magic did not have screen modes
from what i rememeber it was not an option until 3.0
