Welcome to aD!!
I/O errors are usually caused by the type of media/blank dvd you are using. It's saying I don't like the disc.
What blank discs are you using?

I have the same Dvd rw driver and it sucks the sony DRU-710 has created so many coasters that I am replacing it. The support staff also sucks too. I have tried everything with Decrypter and shrink that I am convince it is the burner. Ditch the burner.

I am receiving I/O errors in the decrypting process as well while the original copy is in the drive. Are there specific files I can choose to decrypt instead of all files listed on the original?

@TreyCav is this disc dirty or damaged in any way if not there should be no need to leave any thing off the drive
is your firmware up to date and is this an external burner?

as far as selecting the files I do my editing after w/say shfink in re-author mode so I don't have the details but you can. if nobody get's back to you (kinda hard to find thread w/in thread) you should be able to do a search as I'm sure I read about it in this forum somewhere!

Thanks for the response. I'd like to say the disc is dirty or scratched, but this has happened on more than one occations (Gladiator & The Forgotten). Both of them get to what seems the same point (48%) complete and error out. Do you know of any other decrpyting programs than DVD Decrpter? Maybe I could try something different just for these particular movies.

I dont usually reccomend other but alot of ppl are happy with anydvd these forums are packed full af fanatics as far as freebies go dvd fab decrypter and dvd43 are getting alot better reviews the fab decrypter had conflicts w/ shrink but that has been addressed in there last update and now ppl are slowly starting to love that app
as a side note I have done all these titles you mentioned w/ the dynamic duo dvdd &dvds no flaws but there are just to many variables to try and get you there
one suggestion I do have is that a lot of ppl who have had prob's w/this title
during decryption w/dvdd try movie only settings under tools>settings> click on file mode and change the default from all to main movie. I think that because of the bad presses and sub-par recording methods being used that menues and title screens and such have been recorded to close to the edge just a theory but try it out no harm right?
