V12 + Soy DVD-RW Drive..possible???

Can i hook up a sony dvd-rw drive to my v12 n anyway, because i dont want to f***up my laser.

Edit: can i use a ps2 disc tray (v1,11) and hook it up onto the v12 or solder some wires to mke it work?

as far as i know the answers to both are no
you can hook up a external hard drive though. then you can
hook it to the computer and put games on it
then hook it to the PSTwo and play them from the
hard drive with HD Advanced

so i cant take a normal v7 ps2 drive and solder some wires and play? btw how fast is loading things from a usb hdd?
