Why does the ink wipe of injet printable disk"s after they have dried ? Ive asked this question before but never got an answer i use Ritek injet printable and Verbatim injet printable ive got a Epson Stylus Photo 900c and a Canon pix 3000 they both print on cdr dvd"s and do a good job of it aswell i only found out by mistake that the ink wipes of when ild left a disk out of its case for a wile and it had gathered dust so i got a damp cloth gave it a wipe and fuc// me the ink started to come of. If anyone can tell me it doesn"t for them tell me what disk you use and what printer you got cheers.....

Water and ink don't mix. You can apply a protective coating. I use Patricia Nimock's acrylic sealer. It's used for protecting artwork, etc. See this thread for pros and cons:

I'd be very wary of using that acrylic sealer on DVDs. I don't know if there's any solvents in that which would dissolve your DVDs.
