Saw your post and it is a good one, but we are probably beating a dead horse. At least Venom had wit in his defense of the media, this person is just rude.

I might be new, but at least I have learned from experience and from the group here at AR about how to burn and do so that it lasts. My Denon 2200 is real touchy on what it will play...TY's work in all my players, but TY's work everytime in my Denon! That is simply amazing. I'm astonsihed that when a majority is echoing the same sentiments that those in the minority cannot see the facts. Thanks AR and particularly the ones that are on this thread...I have learned a lot! Thanks!

Sorry guys, typing too quick...TY's are the only ones to play in the Denon 2200, but I have read that the 2200 is real touchy about back-ups and certain media...just happy about this awe-some media.

58 cents is about the best I've found at regular price for TY dvd+r hub printables. http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=...

There may be a sale sometime so keep checking there and supermediastore.com.

Speaking only from my own experience, I have found Ritek/Ridata to be the best cost effective budget media. I only use DVD-R, so I can't comment on their DVD+R.

Thanks...gtapete
Never used them myself...notice that several had used the media and liked it. I might try them...and I'll look into the -R. Thanks

When I first started burning dvd's I tried some ritek ridata G04 dvd-r's. They didn't work real well with my litey (old LDW-451S) but after starting to bitset I switched to ritek ridata dvd+r's (ricohjpn's and ritek R03's) and they both worked good. I think most prefer the ritek dvd-r's but I've had better results with the +r's. My benq doesn't care, it will burn almost anything. Just my 2 cents.

@moviedud

i have only used the Ritek 8x DVD-R G05s extensively, but for some "budget" media, they have worked GREAT for me personally~ :)
when it comes to DVD+R format, i will ALWAYS recommend the Taiyo Yuden and booktyped (if your burner is capable)...i have had nothing but flawless results from my Taiyo Yudens.

i completely KNOW what you are speaking of in terms of the Denon stand alones..i have the older FLAGSHIP model, the 5900, it's been discontinued but it is VERY picky about media...i had maxells that wouldn't even play in it and a few Verbatims too, but my Taiyo Yudens have never failed me in that regards..they will ALL play on my denon.

regarding the "reply" thread...added my 2 cents too, without being "rude"...well, at least i don't think i was, just stating the facts :)

have a good one all~
