GT4 PSS Downsampler Problem!

couldnt find an answer to my problem anywhere on the forums here or at http://Backuptools.co.uk .. perhaps others have ran into problems downsampling the video files from GT4...

once i drag my PSS files over to the application... lower the rate to %50 ... hit the go button... seconds later i recieve the error ..

"Component 'ACTIVESKIN.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."

i google'd for the file and found.. but i'm unsure where it needs to go.. i tried the folder the application is in and the windows\system32 folder also.. no luck... just curious if other are havin the same problem or if someone knowledgeable can correct it.

I am using the Sonix Gran Turismo 4 Single Layer Backup Tutorial.

Any replies would be appreciated.. thanks again

I get that error too and unfortunately haven't found a fix for it. I've also tried just clicking ok on all the error boxes that pop up but all the movies end up being invalid.

It would be nice to know at least the version of the ocx so I could go out and download it somewhere.

I put the file called 'ACTIVESKIN.OCX' in system32 and it works fine, am using Xp i think if your using anything else it goes in the system folder

Download the PSSdown.rar file from the General Tools section. That has the ocx in it. As of now the one included with the GT4_tutorial.rar does not have it.

By the way, I ran into a couple more ocx errors after I got activeskin to work. You can download this file and run it to get rid of the rest of the errors:

I am playing GT4 now and it runs great.
