i want to know which is faster, using only dvd shrink to back up your movie, OR rip with dvd decrypter then encode with shrink? and which way produces better results?

Since DVD Shrink is more outdated than DVD Decrypter, then the latter.

latter...means your second option will probably be the better choice
of the two presented.

They probably are both about the same, but since Shrink cannot do newer encrypted movies, then you got to go with Decrypter to hard drive and then Shrink. Your results are going to be the same either way because Shrink is the encoder.

Rip with DVDD, encode with DVDS, burn with DVDD or Nero or other app.
