hi, i'm a real newbie at all this, i don't really know much.
i have a guide telling me how to backup ps2 games, all i'm afraid of is putting the damn thing in my pc, i just wanted to know if any special drive is nedded or will it just work in a normal DVD-RW drive?

also, will the "swapping" technique work on the ps2 or will i need a mod chip?

thanks

Hi
All you need is a DVD-RW drive nothing special, the easiest programme for copying ps2 dvd based games is DVD Decrypter it can be found here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_...
Read the forums on backing up games using this and you should have no problems, if you do give a shout back
Good luck and happy burning!

i did it and it worked, or at least i think it did, i haven't got a modchip and don't know where to get one, my parents don't have a credit card so i can't buy it online.

also, this will probably sound like a stupid question but will a ps1 game work in my DVD-RW drive, i mean will it copy in that, not will it play inm it(obviously).

HI
He could buy one online using paypal or nochex if in uk, or get a friend with a credit card to buy one for him. I only suggested swap magic as a quick and easy way for him to play his backups

DVD Decrypter is for DVDs only, it can not burn onto CDr.
