Help With HD Advance DVD

My brand new HD Advance DVD rarely loads properly (it says "cannot read disc") Now I don't own many PS2 games, and I figure if I need to convert something to my HDD I can keep trying to load the DVD until it works, but is there any way to RUN the games on the HDD without having to load the HD Advance DVD? It's just that trying to load it 30 times to play a game is just stupid.

This is the only disc I've ever had problems with, so I don't want to mess with the PS2 laser, as there's always a chance of breaking something.

I had this problem with my HD Advance. Do you have both discs? I found that for some reason one of the discs would always load and the other gave me problems, so I'd suggest trying the other disc. Sorry I cant be more help, didnt have much time with it since my ps2 and HD Advance got stolen before i could play with it a whole lot.... How long have you had the advance? You might just want to see about contacting the seller and getting it replaced.
