IS there any way at all to create a bootdisc off of an image youve gotten form swap magic 3.6

I have created an ISO for mySwap Magic DVD 3.6 and for the life of me I cannot get it to be recognized by the PS2 70012 Slim line?

Can a boot image be burned by a DVD burner> Let me know! thanks!!
Any ideas???!

Also-

if you canot use your backup of swap magic is there a possibility that you can use an exploit or something like that?

In other words is there a way to play backups by just blocking the sensors that tell if the DVD tray is open (remember on a little pstwo) and putting in an exploit in iso format or something?

No, you cannot create a backup of a bootdisc.

If you could, there would be no need for a swap trick/fliptop/modchip- everyone would just burn bootable games with a patch, probably.

Unfortunately, the way they make these bootable discs either requires special bad sectors in the disc, special codes on the disc, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

There is no reason to create a backup of a bootdisc, because it won't work.

i also have recently realized that swap magic will only recognize DVD-R's

Can I burn A DVD+R and set the booktype as DVD-ROM and will that work properly? or does it absolutely need to be DVD-R? (MY DVD burner will not burn DVD-R's for some reason...

Its probably your PS2 that doesnt recognize DVD+Rs, not swap magic. Some of the older PS2s dont. What version PS2 do you have?

I have a 70012 slim line PS2

I just recently re-ordered my swap magic discs (originals are nasty scratched)

so I will find out very soon if they will work.

However I this 70012 slim line is a brand new purchase (I dont remember the model # in my old one) so its gonna be a learning experience!!

thanks
