I've been trying to connect my xbox to my pc, and nothing is working. I've been reading a lot of forums on how to connect, and tryed practicly everything.....I cannot connect while using my explorer (FTP://Ip. adres), and with an ftp flasher, and my flash fxp keeps giving the messega connection refused, or conncetion canceled.....
Is there anyone who knows how to fix this f#ckedup problem...I'm almost losing it, 'cause i'm out of ideas

hiya

follow this guild if you want to try and use FlashFXP

i take it that you trying to ftp your pc to xbox ... if you go to your xbox network settings and enable the static IP and use this for your static IP 192.168.0.3 and also make sure your network settings on your xbox is enabled your subnetmask on your xbox should be 255.255.255.0

then on your pc go to your local network settings and for the IP make it 192.168.0.4 and subnetmusk 255.255.255.0 and well i used FlashFXP which works great for me if you gonna use FlashFXP open it up and then on the right hand side click on the connect icon which looks like lightning bolt and click on quick connect or just press F8 and a window will come up for the server or ulr type 192.168.0.3 leave the as 21 and xbox:xbox will be username:password then click connect and thats it

i've been corrected on this method by uniique1 sorry mate ........ use this method if you are going to be using a crossover cable ..... and this should work out fine ...... my bad

If you are only using a standard "straight" network cable you will need ot use a Hub / Switch as a straight cable will not see the network connection from only PC > Xbox. You will need a crossover cable to network only PC to Xbox without the use of a switch.

yeah using a crossover cable you'll be able to connect your pc and xbox directly for me this does a good job and is straight forward and as drhhitman mentioned using a standard network cable you will need ot use a Hub........... enjoy

and another thing on the xbox 1.4 or 5 it has a ip below that is subnet and then there is a gateway number.is something suppose to go there.

i had a question regarding sys link...can i use a normal or cat5 pc cable or do i have to shell out the major bux for the short a$$ cord you buy at the game shops? Plus, which is easier to connect to pc the crossover or the straight through? thanx

that is the page it will help u when u are done just put ur pc back to normal ip and ull b fine for xbox live chang the ip and dns to automatic to get on live
but if u mod in custom u will get banned
