Just a few questions,
Does the hd loader install to the hdd?
When you want to back up a game do you need to put your hd loader in, if so do you need to swap the disks like the swap disk method with a playstation game before insatlling it?

The hd loader does install to the hdd. When you put the hd loader disk in for the first time it will install itself for you. To install a game to the drive the drive needs to be connected to your computer, and then the iso must be transferred to the hd, then put back into the ps2, I suggest getting an external enclosure.

You can also backup up your games via the ps2, using the HD loader software, but this wears out your laser so ur best off connectin it to your pc. You can install original ps2 games via the ps2, but if u wana install backup games you need to swap an orignal game with the backup e.g. using a slide tool or fliptop
