DVDbackup problems?

I am a newbie, and also I am on a MAC. I used DVDBackup 1.3 to extract the dvd, when then I burnt it to as DVD-R (TDK) using Toast. I put the dvd in my home player (Denon 3910) and it seemed fine. Hit play and it started at the end of the movie. If I select a scene at the begining, it will still put me at the end of the movie. I was wondering if anyon else has had any luck with DVDbackup, or if maybe you could recommend something better that will run on a Mac?

Never had that happen.

I usually use DVDbackup to rip then DVD2OneX to compress the movie, if I need to.

Never had a problem that way. You can also try MacTheRipper instead of DVDBackup.
