I'm using USB Live, I can capture the video fine but I don't know how to get the sound, could someone help, do I have to run an audio cable from the vcr to my sound card, how do I do this

I'm jumping in only because no one answered. I don't think that your USB connection is capturing the audio (I'm wondering what cabling is going between your vcr and pc). Try running an rca cable from audio on the vcr into your sound card. The cable would have to be on one side rca connectors (1 if mono 2 if stereo) and mini-din stereo on the pc end. The Shack has them. Make sure your capture software is looking to the audio card for audio, it can accept it from various sources.
