PAL/NTSC Save Games

Basically, I had a PAL version of Mortal Kombat: Deception, pretty much completed it, then lost my the disc. So I downloaded the NTSC version (the only one I seem to be able to find on the net) and my save game doesn't work with it.

If I were to use the NTSC-PAL converter from the JayTeeMaster site, would that make my save game compatible? I'm guessing no but I'm not really sure.

The answer would be no, since it's still the NTSC game at the basis.
