I really dont have the skills enough to be able to solder to play backed up games that being said i am rather hard on disks and have a need for back ups i heard about slide magic from modchips.com and was wondering if they are safe to use its just the idea of yanking out my CD/DVD PS2 drive seems a little damageing

You're not really yanking it out, you're pulling it out. All you have to do is take off that fat black bar at the end of the disc tray to do it. It's better than modchips and fliptops because they both void the warranty. They tell you how to do it at www.modchip.com (not modchips.com, this one is better). Just buy the discs (with express shipping unless you want to wait 2-3 weeks with regualr) and make your own slide card by looking at the bottom of the first post of the xbox and ps2 backups tutorial.

so let me get this straight u take off the black bar and pull the disc out not the disk tray just the disk and slide the new burnt one in ??
