ive got 2 ps2s connect via router. they both can "login" to lan. i create game with one system from lan lobby, but the other gets booted back to lan lobby whenever trying to join the game created by the other. any idea why that might be?
Have you checked to see if all data is being properly forwarded from one machine to another and back? i had a similar problem with not being able to join the game, messing with the router settings did it. (i dont know anything about linksys btw., i use some cheap-ass homemade thing my brother made, works like a charm)
Sounds more like an ingame error, if you actually get booted back to the lobby...Does it spew out an error code or does it just kick you right back to the lobby without further notice?
no error code...if Player 1 creates game, I see Player 2 in the game lobby for a second then he disappears (and I see 'Aborting Mission. Returning to LAN Lobby' on Player 2's screen).
Both games are Greatest Hits versions of SOCOM II, if that has anything to do with it...
