Hi! New At This PS2 Stuff ! Need Help!

I have just recently purchased Grand Theft Auto San Andreas from the Uk and have the UK version which cannot play in my PS2 console because i have the US console. What can I do to play the game?

There's patches that allow you to convert games from PAL to NTSC but you will need swap magic or a modchip to boot it because it would be a copy, if you have swap magic then you can boot imports no problem, you will need a modchip\swap magic or another method to play it.

so with the Swap magic how would i change the format?

I would buy the Swap magic but does it come with instructions on how to use it?

Swap magic is a very easy method of boot backups without modding the Ps2, all you need to do is get swap magic and stick it in the Ps2 and wait till the screen comes up telling you to insert your backup now you would need a slide card for that which lets you pull the Ps2 tray out and swap the swap magic disc for the backup, The reason that you can't play GTA is because it's coded in a PAL format which NTSC coded Ps2 will not read, Swap magic allows you to boot imports in NTSC or PAL by just selecting it on screen, your TV will have to support PAL to view the colour but that's were the Patch would be handy as you can change the format so even if your TV can't support PAL the patch will convert game into NTSC.
