your 1st disc listed is good, my FAVORITE of the MCC coded ones actually...8x DVD+R Verbatims have that coding, those are flawless.

the 2nd two, by Moser Baer...ouch...NOT GOOD in my opinion...i used a few a LOOOOONG time ago from these cheapy discs i purchased, before knowing ANYTHING about dvd media; they've been in the trash/landfill for a long time, they didn't playback in ANY dvd player/pc dvd-rom drive when i checked them again, which was only approximately 6 months after the initial burn. that's just MY experience, others may have used them extensively, i have not...if something is "broke" for me, i FIX it...will never buy them again nor recommend them to ANYONE that wants an honest opinion of them. :)

Recommended Media:

Verbatim 8x dvd+r MCC003
Verbatim dvd+r DL (MKM001)= flawless no compression backups

Thanks a lot...

It's funny because the price gap between both of them is $ 0.15 and the salesperson was telling me both were excellent choices.

Media #1: Sweet,I'll gobble them up anytime.Regular and Full Hub printables, very good.

Media #2: Crappola. I had a buddy of mine that gave me about 5 of them that the ID came from Staples brand media.A 25 pack spindle I believe. He had a hell of a time in his NEC . I burned them at 2.4x and didn't put anything important on them.

Media #3: I haven't run into that code yet.I'd be very skeptical, especially seeing as how they are made in india.

Looks like #1 is my choice!

Yes, it is Verbatim DVD+R

Bought it because I had good references from Verbatim in CDs as well from old 1.44 Mb diskettes

Moser Baer India makes Verbatim Digital Movie. These are made with the MCC code.

However,I bought a 50 pack of Spin-X (MBI DVD-R's) with the super AZO Dye with the MBI 01RG20 code and they work great.

@kokomo,

i would suggest sticking w/ the Verbatim 8x DVD+R, those have been VERY good for me and many others. that's only MY suggestion, stick with what works for you, because those MCC003s work flawlessly for ME. :)

Media is key, and the final link to quality burns. You wouldn't put the cheapest tires on a top of the line Mercedes.

The only problem with this statement:

"Media is key, and the final link to quality burns. You wouldn't put the cheapest tires on a top of the line Mercedes."

You could have a brand named "ToughSpin DVD" that sells for 10 bucks for 50 and you would skip it. However, it could be the same MCC disc's without the Verbatim name. It would still be quality media but you would not buy it because it was not a brand.

Brand means nothing, its the maker/dye/code that determines good media.

So cheap can still mean good.

Futura tires at Pep Boys rate better than some Goodyears. Trust me they are cheap....LOL!

yes exactly...find out through trial and error or come on here before a media purchase..i have tried like 80% of ALL media out there available in the U.S. since i began burning...so, i'm not talking out my a$$, but you need to find the good MEDIA coded ones...brand does mean nothing, BUT, often times is a good indicator of who the manufacturer is through comments by others and through own personal purchase experience. :) happy buying~
