I have the movie collateral on dvd i am trying to burn a copy for my back up? when I use the re author mode and take all the checks out the menus except for english? I wind up with a movie that can only be played in the wide screen format with the engish captions on the bottom of the screen? any idea or suggestions how to copy this movie or other movies I own that copy this way? You didn't mention whether you had english audio. Assuming you do, all you have to do to be rid of the subtitle is turn it off on your dvd player with the remote. Widescreen is better for viewing in my opinion, so you're ok there.
