I am brand new to this pastime and so I would appreciate some advice to see why I cannot mannage to remove the copyright protection. I have downloaded the 3.3 version and as promised the yellow smiley is replaced by the devil smiler and then that is replaced by the green smiley.

When I then press the copy button the dvd programme tells me that the dvd is protected.

Any ideas?

Mate i think the best way to help u is to give u the guides appropraite to ur problem also the guides that i give u, u will not need to run DVD43 at all.

What burning software are u using it with? Note: It works best with DVD Xcopy Xpress. Borhan9 provided some great links. You could also dnld AnyDVD, it's free for 21days then purchase to keep using. DVD Decrypter is the best free dnld, no trial period and there's a guide for it. Check the guides tab above.

Thanks for your help.....beginning to wish I hadn't asked - it all seems very complicated, but I will give it a go. As a matter of interest, if the DVD43 does everything that it is supposed to do i.e. yellow, red and then green smiley, why didn't it remove the copyright? Its a pity really because had it worked then its the kind of NODDY technology that I am comfortable with.

For me i dont find that AnyDVD or DVD43 do anythin although i have them rrunnin anyway... Thats y i suggested what i did in my prevouis post of those programs and guides. Cause those things i suggested will do it without DVD43 or AnyDVD read the guides and download the program they are very reliable and fully free.
