Video editing problem, need to modify clip properties

The video I am editing for whatever reason exhibits a black mark on the corners. Imagine someone putting their finger at the corner of the lens and apply that to all for corners, it doesen't fullfill much of the screen, regardless it is still annoying.

I am using studio 9 for editing, is their anyway at all I can trim the video, eliminating at least some of the distortion ? Is their anyway I can add maybe a border, something to shield those annoying marks, they seem to dissapear when I zoom in. I have no idea what's causing them.

I have looked all through studio 9 for options, to no avail, also it only shows up on the computer, you can't see it when playing it on a widescreen television.
