i have evox and im a noob at it i ftp it and stuff but i do not see annything for applacations and stuff and it wont let me ftp maps to my xbox halo 2 d drive!

alright i put in my memery card then i copy luniux to the hd then i put in mechalsalt then i clicked run leninux then i did evox then i did al the shit u had to then i tern off my xbox then ternd it on then back it up then tern it off then went to bed

Well first off. Good luck getting anything to actually FTP up to your 'D:\' Drive. In case you haven't allready guessed it. The 'D:\' Drive is your DVD-ROM Drive. And unless you did some major mod'ing to your XBOX? your not going to be able to write to it. So that should answer one of your questions.
If I might offer some sage advice on the matter of 'Softmoding'. I'd tell you to forget it. 'Softmoding' IS NOT FOR NOOBS! (Hay someone has to say it!), 'Softmoding' can be and often is a Royal Pain in the Arse for those fully in the know of what they're doing, and a catastrophe for those that do not!
If you are looking for something simple easy and forgetable (like any good tech). Then you should forget about 'Softmods'. Yeah sure it's cheaper then the $60.00(USD), or so for a Modchip. But, buying a Modchip has been worth every cent.
By all means feel free to continue your 'Softmoding' but, if you wish to eventualy try something more challenging like Gaylow (um Halo) :|
moding then this is where a Modchip will make you life much, MUCH easier...

its a simple way to ftp using Flash FXP. well make sure your box is connected to your computer via crossover cable or router/hub. then click the lightning bolt then quick connect. then where it says "server or url" type your xbox's IP address which is in the settings of your xbox if its softmodded. "port" should say 21. and your "user name" and "password" should be xbox if your xbox is set on its initial factory settings then click connect and then your connected. if that doesnt help go to my site: http://www.freewebs.com/softmodding101/ then after that you still need help IM me at SoftModding101 or email me at banned@afterdawn.com

volcom725, could you tell me how to get on xbox live with the softmod? i have tried a few other peoples advice and it connects when i trouble shoot but will not sign in when i try halo 2 can you help me?

well i myself dont have xbox live and thats y i started gettin into modding. but i have found some sites that help out with gettin on live wit a modded xbox. but they are crakin down on modders and if caught your xbox'l be banned. but since the 360 is commin out soon i say go for it. and if you get banned dont blame me, but on google type gettin on live wit modded xbox and see wat comes up. mayb ull get lucky and not banned. and dont play with softmods on matchmakin on live!! lemme kno if that helped.

hey all i just wanted to let you know... If you want to learn how to softmod an xbox completely, i will for a price of $10.00 give you the files, adn fill support in installing them. In notiem you will be modding. I have all the files adn can assure you that it will work 100%. Also i have just created a patch that will allow you not to be banned from xbox live. yes you are correct, but it is a 20-100 percent chance that either your xbox will mess up and u will be screwed, and if you get in that 20 percent range fine but yuo uwill not get the mods that i have enabled to send to my coustomers, so basically therefor it is better. And for ur info buddy the patch i created is 100% able to work friend..
