Staples has the Fuji 8x on sale: $11.94 for a spindle of 30.

They are in 3-10 pack spindles with colors of green/blue/and yellow all shrink wrapped together.

They were 2 bucks cheaper a couple weeks ago and the plus format turned up yuden000-T02.

Hello All -Just an little thought to ponder ! Office Depot has Verbatium 16x DVD-/+R 100pack for $37.99 you already knew that ! but this is the cheapest I've seen Verbatims atleast Retail ie; non -generics ! the only place I've seen them close to this price is SAMSCLUB ! who have verbatim 16x DVD+R /dvd-r media for the price of $41.63 before taxes! which is still a good deal and they have the 8 x verbatims for Price: $39.78 For the insignifigant cost difference if I were shopping them @ sams I would go 16x but that's me ! So right now OFFICE DEPOT is the SHIZNIT on the 16x verbatims! just thought you might wanna know ,ya' know inquiring minds and all! So See ya "s Peace & Happy burning!

not sure why you would want to spend the extra $$'s for the 16x when all the forums suggest burning at 4x, maybe 8x with good medis (which we all know Verbatim is).

rmcgo- my friend I think you missed my point ! I was one telling our fellow afterdawn memebers what a good deal the verbatims were at OFFICE DEPOT compared to other places! Also although I general burn @ 4 X Most of the media I've bought since I've been DVD'ing has been rated @@ 8x becuase that what was available locally ! Why do you think that Supermediastore>com Meritline.com & other online retailers have been putting the 4x Taiyo yudens on sale ? becuase they are mainly producing onlt 8X & or 16 X now and they want to clear out old stock! Nothing wrong with them though I bought some myself ! And althought I'm not a Psychic I would predict that eventually we'll see 8x media go on sale a super low prices - just like the 4X media for the same reason ! Also my friend rmcgo - just becuase you or i have bought 16x or 8 X media there is no reason you could'nt burn it @ 4 X or less if you wanted ! But with high speed High Quality DVD media and a Good Burner you also have the option to burn at higher speed ! and Finally the cost difference between OFFICE DEPOT and SAMSCLUB amounts to #3.98 tax inclusive so if I were buying today I would go Office depot . But the the original thought was merely to show the great deal of the sale . Hope this clears up any misunderstanding you may have had and all that! Peace & Happy Burning - CIAO!

Has anyone gotten the Verbatim 16X +Rs on sale at Office Depot?

Do they code out as MCC004?

hello everybody, I just wanted to add, best buy and circuit city have sales on media every week or every other week, I found 50 packs for 20$ verbatim, sony, fuji it seems to rotate, a week or two ago they had verbatim DVD+R 50 pack for 12.99$ I dont no how these sales are,Im sure it not everywere.

Also I used verbatim 16x advanced azo Mcc004 and it wont back up my ps2 games, But most movies come out perfect when Played in my PS2.(some have like a stand still fuzzyness its kinda hard to notice. Out of 6 differnt kinda media this is the only kind that gives me problems.

Im not saying theres anything bad About the media it self, Im just saying I have problems with it.

NINVIN21 my friend perhaps you forgot to check off remove layer break when ripping your dvd with DVD Shrink which could be a reason for your problem ! but if it's only happening with verbatim 16X media that's probably unlikely ! does it happen in the same spot or about the same amount of time with each movie? Also does it only happen with the PS2 and not regular DVD players? also are you burning @ 16x when your movies do this ? try lowering your speed and see if it still occurs ! and also perhaps unlikely as it may seem your ps-2 doe'snt like verbatim ! I have a Philips DVR-72 stand alone dvd recorder It's DVD+R only recording format but plays DVD Movies and DVD-R backups just fine I recently started a spindle of FUJI (Made in Japan) 8X DVD+R media and burned some movies on these disc and my Philips DVDR-72 will not recognize them at all - no matter what speed I've burned them at! yet they play well on my NOrcent DVD Player or on the computer - Iknow the media is excellent Quality (Taiyo Yuden) and the PHiilips loves everything else DVD-R playback wise it's jsut incompatible with the media I mentioned! and perhaps thought I would consider it extremely rare you got a bad batch of verbatims - possible ? unlikely but possible . Oh well my friend NINVIN21 hope you figure ut out and all your burns are perfect ! Peace & happy Burning !

... The Sony discs at the Walgreens near my house are mixed Taiwan and Japan made. The 25 packs of -R are all Japanese, while the +R are almost all (but 1) made in Taiwan ... all are a great deal for $7.99 ...

Went to Staples to pick up the colored Fuji's instead of the 11.94 for 30 it was 9.94. The -R ID at TYG02 and the +R ID at Yuden000-T02-00 and MIJ. Plan on going back for another 60 :)
