Ok...I'm want to make a backup of my PS2 disk but I'm kinda new at this... I need some questions answered...

1. Backups are like a copy of the original and it's like having 2 of the same game...right?

2. I have the following programs:

Nero Burning Rom
DVD- Decrypter

Do I need anything else to make a backup?

3. What are the exact procedures to making a backup?

Wow it's amazing no ones helped you. All you do to make an exact to copy to use with either a mod chip, or swap magic is use DVD Decrypter to get the iso on ur pc. So you open up DVD Decrypter then at the top theres mode the click it then go to iso then read. Let it copy it on. Then after you go to mode iso read, select your .mds file from where ever it was saved usually if u do not picked it saved right in ur C:/ which is ur hard drive. Then set burn speed at 4x. Pop in a blank dvd then hit go. Then your finished. NE questions just repost.

Yeah...umm...Do I need to buy Swap Magic? For that matter, what is it? Also, I really appreciate that you tried to help but I hardly understood any of what you said.

So far I've done this:

1. Used DVD-Decoder and set it to mode "Read" and copied it to my Hard Drive.

2. Then I used Iso-Buster and clicked on the ISO file and copied all those files to another folder.

What now? Please help me!

yea ok lol i messed up a little my bad, but forget iso buster. Now in dvd decrpyer again since u have the iso in ur hard drive now go to mode iso write then select ur iso from ur hard drive by clicking then little folder icon. Then change speed by clicking the little drop down box on the bottom right where it says max then switch it to 4x. Then put in a blank dvd and hit the picture of the hard drive with the arrow pointing to the cd and it will burn. Tell me where u are after this.

Alright, hold on. It's going to take a little because I need to switch computers, the other one is the one that has the DVD Burner.

OK. I have NO swap magic, NO Mod Chip , nothing like that! Will someone just please list the steps I need to do in order to backup a PS2 game on a DVD Disk so I can play it!

You can't play any backup games without a modchip or swapmagic + fliptop (if you have a slim ps2 you still need an aftermarket fliptop or ghost switches)... you need one or the other of those mods in order to play it.
get yourself one of those mods mentioned... also get reading on here about the different methods of burning/rebuilding etc.. it'll be worth it. Then when your mod is installed you'll be able to test/ play those backups.
