The Connection between your XBOX? and your PC, depends upon which CAT-5 Cable you are useing and the method you wish to connect by.

You can not use a standerd CAT-5 with a PC->XBOX? connection. You will need a CAT-5E (Crossover Cable),.

If you are going to use normal CAT-5 Cables you will need to eventualy purchase a Routher and or a Switch.

I would also recomend giving your PC (i.e. 'The Server' (In a PC->XBOX? connection), a lower Subnet address then that of the XBOX? like xxx.xxx.xxx.1 and not 4...

You can either go to the link in my sig for my full tutorial, or you can get lucky w/ what I'm going to say and be able to connect.

Go into your xbox and into your modded dash. Go to your network settings and you have to change your IP to automatic. You can do this by saying NO to static or if you have a different set up, do dhcp (or something like that) to get automatic ip. When you are done doing that, go to save and exit at the very bottom. Then turn your xbox off and the back on again. Check what you new ip says. Put that in your host/server for your ftp program. That should work now.
