Someone please please help meeee! I was so happy in buying swap magic, and now that i have it, my imports work. But when i try burning a game, it doesnt work at all. I have tried burning with DVD decrypter and set the speed at 1X and when it writes or reads, it changes automatically to around 2.4X. For some reason it worked once when i use Nero and select, 'Copy DVD'. When i tried again, no luck. The only thing that happens after doin the swap and pressing 'X' is a funny sound of the CD spining. Please help! Cheers.

what media are you using?
I use DVD Decrypter all the time and it works great
I set it to 1X and it burns at 3.8x which is normal
it will pick the best speed to burn at for the
discs you have.
Try setting it to 4X and see if that works
but if you are using cheap media it will still not work.

Depends on your PS2 model. Generally speaking, PS2s up to v8 generally like DVD-R whereas v9 up to the latest PS2s don't mind + or - DVDs. I have a V12 and personally prefer - DVDrs. I guess it all depends upon what works best in your system.

Are you using rewritable discs?

Hi, yes i am using rewritable DVDs and they're both +. I dont think my DVD drive can play -R/RWs because it only says +R/RW on the CPU. Cheers.

If your DVD writer only states +R/RW then you can only burn on +R/RW discs. Using -R/RW will probably stuff your burner up. Why don't you just use -R rather than -RW cause -Rs are much cheaper than -RWs?

Well then that's probably your problem. Most PS2s can't read RW discs. Try writing to the Sony DVD+R discs you mentioned and it will probably fix your problem.
