I successfully backed GOW up using the Official God of War Thread Instructions.

But It stutters for about 3-4 seconds every 15 or so seconds during battles, and the music barely keeps up any part of the gameplay.

Is this normal?

No its not normal. What speed are you burning at? sometimes if you burn at 2X or 1X you will get that problem, try burning at 4X.

TDK DVD+R47PW50-AU Media.

I got it in a 50 pack for 35 Australian Dollars. (about 29-30 US Dollars)

I don't think the media is good even though it is TDK, but I havn't had any problems with my other backed-up games.

You could always try other media.

Verbitam DVD-R.

Burn at 4x using DVD Decrypter.

Thats my advice.

what do you mean if you burn at 1x or 2x it slows down so burn at 4x? I've had the opposite problem. If I burn at 4x there's the glitches, but when I slow the burn down it's fine.

-Isn't it great to wake up and not know what day it is?

It depends on what burner you have. Some of the newer burners are capable of burning at higher speeds and reducing write errors. I have a Pioneer DVD 109r and I back up some of my games at 8x without any gameplay problems. I've also heard that some people are having problems burning at 1x and 2x with some of the older burners and that burning at 4x generally solves the problem. Try getting the latest firmware for your burner and see if that helps solve the problem.
